Breast Feeding Workshops
Any skill has to be learned, and breast feeding is no exception. By
doing some education about correct technique and practicing these prior
to giving birth, the whole process of feeding your baby is usually much,
much smoother than if you are coming in “cold”. It would be similar to
asking a surgeon to perform an operation after just reading about it, or
someone else telling them about it. Workshops are done on a one-to-one
basis with our experienced lactation consultants/midwives. Our feedback
on this particular education service has been overwhelmingly positive,
with very high rates of successful breast feeding after the first few
weeks – the time when often breast feeding can get “all too hard” and is
stopped.
